Mine is bigger than yours,

17.5 inch Dobsonian Telescope

and so is my telescope.

But seriously folks, welcome to my homepage. My name is Michael Davis, and as you can see, I am interested in astronomy. In the above photo I am standing next to the 17.5in. telescope I built in 1996. It is only one of my many home-built telescopes. Astronomy and telescope making are passions with me. My other interests include computers and programming, travel, nature photography, archeology, tinkering with exotic machinery and debunking UFO and paranormal claims. Here on my little patch of the web you will find lots of photos I have taken over the years, and lots of other information related to my interests.

Have a look around, follow some links, enjoy yourself. Thanks for stopping by.

Destinations

  • Visit my telescope workshop and see what I've been up to lately.
  • Follow my efforts to build a working jet engine almost from scratch.
  • Have a look at my small collection of meteorites.
  • Photos of interesting and unique telescopes. Some my work, some the work of others.
  • A few sunspot photos I have taken with my home-made solar telescope.
  • My links page has links to lots of interesting stuff.
  • My nature photo page has some of my better photos of natural wonders taken on various vacation trips.

This site is a work in progress and probably always will be. More material will be added and links will be updated as time permits.
